To view if a payment has been properly applied:
Check the payer’s Contact Ledger:
- Go to Reports
- Select Accounting
- Select Billing
- Select Contact Ledger
- Enter the Start Date
- Enter the End Date
- Enter the Customer (Payer/ Parent/ Guardian)
- Enter the Branch (Location associated to this Customer)
- Display Name = First Name Last Name
- View Style = Contact Ledger (Parent Ledger)
Check the payer’s GL documents:
- Go to Accounts Receivable
- Select Find Document
- Enter the Contact Name = Payer’s Name
- Document Type = Customer Payment
- Click GO
- this will display all the customer payments for this Payer
- to view a payment – click the edit pencil
Check the payer’s account:
- Go to Contacts
- Find the Payer
- Open their account
- Under the finance tab
- Select Receivables
- Select Accounts
- View the Recent GL Documents table:
- CIN = Customer Invoice
- CPM = Customer Payment
- CCM = Customer Credit Memo
