Create an Other Current Asset Account called “Collection Clearing Account”
Create a Customer item called “Collections”.
Create a new company for the collections company.
Create a manual credit to the parent and remove the revenue from the correct customer item and post to the parent account.
Create a manual invoice to the collections company, to the new customer item collections and post to the company’s account.
To create a new Other Current Asset Account:
- Go to Setup
- Select Accounting
- Select Other Current Assets
- Enter the information for the new account
- Click the SAVE icon to save information
To create a New Customer Item:
- Go to Setup
- Select Accounting
- Select Item
- scroll down to the bottom
- click “+ add customer item”
- Enter the information for the new item
- Add the item price
- click the checkmark to apply
- click the SAVE icon to save all
To create a New Company:
- Go to Contacts
- click GO
- Select “+ Add Company”
To create a manual credit:
- Go to Accounts Receivable
- Select Billing
- Select Manual Credit
- Enter information
- Enter Line item, click the “+”
- Click the POST icon when ready to complete
To create a manual invoice:
- Go to Accounts Receivable
- Select Billing
- Select Manual Invoice
- Enter information
- Enter Line item, click the “+”
- Click the POST icon when ready to complete
